Advisory Board

The OTCR advisory board serves two primary purposes. The first is to help OTCR Partners make key decisions about the future of the organization. The advisors also work with project managers to review deliverables and provide feedback and advice about current engagements. The members of the OTCR advisory board are:

Jeff Kurtz
UIUC College of Business

Ray Price
UIUC College of Engineering
Nick Bafaloukos Geoff Price
James Commons Mike Simanek
John Hebda Jeff Vyduna
Bill Ho Patrick White

Non-faculty members of the OTCR advisory board act as alumni of the organization, and not as representatives of their respective employers.

Partners

As a whole, the partners within OTCR run the general day to day administration of the organization. This group is responsible for looking out for the future of the organization and is dedicated to creating ideas which will improve the organization as a whole. They have to present new initiatives, effectively manage the overall startup of projects, and sell any new process change within the company.

Project Managers

A project manager (PM) is a person that is generally very well spoken and can manage others effectively. Each PM communicates with their team and client contact, collectively organizes their team's tasks, effectively delegates tasks, and understands how and when to put pressure on and take pressure off their team to get the job done. In addition, each project manager reports directly to the engagement partner for their project.

Consultants

Consultant duties vary from project to project. Some duties may be more business oriented (i.e. market research), while others may be more technical (i.e. coding in Java). The scope of each project details the tasks that the consultant team must complete in order for the project to be successful.
